Quote from a Network member

Last week we were out in the Brecon Beacons. This week we’re up in the Lakes helping some Scouts take their first trip on the water. Where else can you make a difference and have an excellent time yourself?
Scouting – it’s recommended

Scout Network is an adult section that caters for those aged 18 to 25.

It is unique in that it is very much the heart of Scouting, it having strong connections with every other section. This is because a very high proportion of the membership are also Adult Leaders in their own right and operating in their section of choice.

Whilst there are specific Scout Network Leaders, they oversee in a low profile way so that the members in reality can run their own section as they want to. It is a chance for the 18 to 25 year olds to do their own thing and at the same time have all of the many benefits of being a member of the Scouting family.

As the name of the section implies, networking is the order of the day, this opens up doors to join in with other Scout Networks at the many camps and events World wide.

The main awards for this section are the Queen’s Scout Award, The Explorer Belt and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Gold.
