What sort of Volunteer are YOU?

There are always pleas for more helpers in every area of the movement.

Uniformed Leaders

You can be a Uniformed Leader, or an assistant leader. These posts are subject to satisfactory CRB clearance and an interview. They are mostly uniformed but not always. We will pay for suitable training provided from within the organisation (which could lead to a nationally recognised qualification).

We always need people to assist in the various sections who may not be uniformed and only trained in the basics. CRB is required and a local interview will take place.

There are vacancies from time to time for people to manage the adults in a particular Group or Unit, CRB and training required but not necessarily uniform.

Non Uniformed Volunteers

We always need people to help administer the Groups and Units, these are Non Uniformed Volunteers. Call our Scout line 01747 855299 for further information. We need people as:

Fund Raisers

Specialist Activities

We have asked the relevant people for information for this section but have received no reply.

• Climbers, (we have all the kit and access to training)

• Walkers (provide your own boots and energy)

• Shooters (we have all the kit and access to ranges )

• Canoeists (we have canoes and bell-boats)

• Archers (we have all the kit)

• Lots of other instructors required – you tell us what you can do and we will fit you in somewhere
